BCD is pleased to announce we have been successful for the Camden Council Health and Wellbeing Community Grant.
In the coming months, BCD will be launching the “Senior Safety” Project, supporting the local Aged Crime & Prevention Officer at the Camden Police Area Command to help seniors feel safe living in their homes and building a safer community.
The focus of the project aims to prevent and reduce seniors from becoming victims of crime and contributes to the community by ensuring our seniors are safe and remain living independently in their homes and feel connected to the community.
The key to achieving this goal is ensuring the senior’s yard is well maintained and visible to community members to prevent and reduce the level of crime. This will be a meaningful and valuable experience to meet the expectations of the ageing population in our community.
