Rhonda attends Acoustic Target Shooting at Cecil Park most weeks – and is supported by BCD to do this. The sport is solely for the Blind/Vision Impaired and works totally on sound. The shooter wear a head-set that is connected to a special scope which signals an increasing tone when they are targeting the bullseye.
One of our young customers, Sophey, hates her hair being touched, brushed or washed. As a part of personal growth goals, we have been working towards getting her hair washed and cut at the hairdressers. We helped Sophey build confidence through regular ‘visits’ with an understanding hairdresser. And eventually, Sophey was able to overcome her
Life skills development example with one of our customers “Lucky”. With support from BCD, Lucky made a grocery list of ingredients to make spaghetti snd meatballs. We then went to the shops and purchased independently what was needed for the recipe. He cut, sliced, shredded and cooked the meatballs. Finally, Lucky washed dishes and cleaned
