Welcome to your BCD Village- Meet Your Care Worker Circle
Have you ever opened the door and been met by a support worker you've never seen before? It can feel unsettling, wondering if they know your needs or your routines. For many people thinking about switching NDIS providers, this is one of the biggest worries, who's going to turn up, will they be on time, and will they know my story?
That's exactly why we designed our Care Worker Circle. It's part of our Senior Care Worker model, an approach shaped by over 22 years of listening to our customers, being guided by their experiences and stories and building a "village" of care around them.
Your Care Worker Circle is a consistent team of two or three Care Workers you'll see most often. They work closely with your Senior Care Worker and, if needed, other professionals such as clinical nurses, so your supports are not only reliable but also well-coordinated. When your needs change, for example, if you require more complex care or go through a period where you need extra support, your Care Worker Circle can grow to include additional team members, ensuring you receive the right level of personalised care.
This post is all about introducing you to your Care Worker Circle, showing you who they are, how they work, and what to expect when your support comes from a team that knows you well and has your back every day.
No More Strangers At Your Door
With your Care Worker Circle, you can say goodbye to the uncertainty of not knowing who will show up. Instead of a revolving door of unfamiliar faces, you'll have a tight knit, consistent team of two or three Care Workers who you'll get to know and who will get to know you.
These are the people who will be part of your everyday life, learning your routines, understanding your preferences, and anticipating your support needs.
Your Care Worker Circle is also visible on your private BCD customer portal, so you can easily see who's coming, when, and at what time at a glance, because we know many of our BCD customers like the comfort of having that information right there when they need it.
They'll know the safest way to help you move around your home, whether you have any medical conditions like allergies or diabetes and which activities brighten your day.
This familiarity means you don't have to explain yourself over and over, your Care Worker Circle arrives fully informed and ready to support you in the way that works best for you.
It's about building trust, comfort, and confidence, so each visit feels like a welcome connection rather than a disruption. And behind the scenes, they're supported by your Senior Care Worker and, if needed, other professionals so every visit is part of a consistent, thoughtful approach to your care.
From the very start, we take time to understand what matters most to you, by listening to your story, your goals and support needs.
These details help us match you with a Care Worker Circle who can support you in ways that are respectful, appropriate, and aligned with your needs.
Reliable and Thoughtful Support, Every Day
Reliability means more than just turning up, it's about arriving on time, prepared, and ready to provide the right support every single day.
Your Care Worker Circle is committed to that level of consistency, so you can feel supported in working towards your goals.
“When I entered into the world of the NDIS and was bounced around from provider to provider as they didn’t want to do one to one support, I once again felt lost and let down by the system.
Then I joined the BCD (Better Care Delivered) customer family in 2018 as they were able to support me on my journey the way I want”
This thoughtful, coordinated approach means less stress for you and your family.
You're not left repeating information, chasing updates, or worrying about whether your Care Worker will know what to do instead, you can focus on your goals, knowing your support team has everything in hand.
Part of Your Village, Working Together for You
Your Care Worker Circle is more than just the people you see each day, they're part of a bigger, well-connected team, all working together to support you. Behind the scenes, your Senior Care Worker coordinates with your Care Worker Circle and, if needed, other professionals such as our Clinical Nursing team, to make sure everyone is on the same page.
This means your Care Worker Circle always arrive knowing the latest about your needs, preferences, and goals. If something changes, whether it's a new health consideration, an update to your care plan, or a change in your routine, your whole team knows straight away. This ongoing communication prevents things from slipping through the cracks and keeps your care running smoothly.
It's like having a village of care wrapped around you with familiar faces at your door, backed by a bigger team that's quietly working together to support you towards achieving your goals.
At BCD, you're never left wondering who will turn up or whether they'll know how to support you. You can rely on the same familiar faces, who are part of a wider team working together to make sure your support is consistent, coordinated, and right for you.
